Teaching Experience work:
-
Our residency program was unique in that, it was designed to provide hands on experience with various chemotherapeutic regimens along with balanced radiation oncology curriculum.
-
Well versed in use of computer and audio visual aids. Proficient in the use of MS Word, Microsoft PowerPoint, MS excel, SPSS.
-
Have done a certificate course on 'Research Methodology and Biostatistics' held in October 2013 in PGIMER, India.
-
Have good skill in doing brachytherapy especially Intracavitory and interstitial methods.
Profile:
-
I have been working in one of the best equipped radiation oncology departments in India with strong focus on academics and research. Our department is equipped with Varian Trilogy, four Varian Accelerators, three of which are IMRT capable with Millennium 40 MLC and on board imaging system and one Varian Trilogy with Arc therapy (VMAT) and two Theratron 780c cobalt teletherapy machines. We have Ir 192 microselectron HDR machine and Bebig HDR Co60 machine.
-
I have participated in the planning and execution of various advanced radio-therapeutic techniques like 3DCRT, IMRT, IGRT, SRS, SBRT and total body irradiation in addiction to conventional irradiation techniques.
-
We have an in house 16 slice CT simulator and a 4D CT Simulator in Varian Trilogy with wide bore CT along with three Eclipse and one Advantage Sim workstations for external beam planning. Brachytherapy planning is done on Oncentra Master plan TPS.
-
In addition there is an Elekha Gamma Knife (Perfection) for intracranial stereotaxy with integrated treatment planning system. The department has local area network connectivity with the institute's 4D PET-CT and the radiology department is used for acquisition of MRI on a 1.5 Tesla and a 3 Tesla MRI machine.
-
I have planned and executed the treatment using IMRT in various sites like Cervix, Head & Neck, Rectum, Pancreas, Anal canal, Brain tumors. With the availability of PET-CT, in our institution, I have also been planning patients with PET-CT for head and neck cancers.
-
I believe my training has given me a holistic perspective in the management of the patients with cancer with special emphasis on radiation therapy.
